Placing my clients’ interest as top priority and serving them with professional competence are of paramount importance to me, as well as being true, trusted and transparent.
With a calling to “Touch Hearts” and “Leave A Legacy”, I embarked my career journey with AXA in 1992, fresh from NUS. The initial start was not easy as a fresh graduate without a sales background and no good markets or contacts. The only natural market I have was just my school mates, army friends and relatives.
It was an uphill journey for my initial 3 years. I did everything possible. Cold calling, canvassing, roadshows, door knocking… every possible way to bring in the result. However, I was supported by a great team and manager, Lilian Ng. They were so willing to share great ideas and methods freely with each other, to guide a freshie like me.
With sheer hard work and determination, and a Never Say Die mindset, I have a breakthrough on my 4th year and qualified for my first Million Dollar Round Table in 1996. I moved into management shortly and was promoted to a Financial Service Manager in 1997, when I was just 30. With the mindset to lead by example, I qualified again for my 2nd MDRT in 2001 and my 3rd MDRT in 2006.
With a clear vision to build and lead a great organisation of my own, I got myself promoted to a Financial Service Director in 2007, and started the journey to be the “Preferred” agency for our clients and partners, delivering impartial and unbiased financial advices.
Being honest and sincere is fundamentally how I want to serve my clients. To be offered the same level of sincerity, professional advice, and the support if I were in their shoes.
As a leader of the Alliance team, I truly appreciate the chance to be a leader by example, every single day. To embrace our vision, mission and core values of Truth, Trust and Transparency. To uphold our special culture that we have built so hard on over the years.

Accredited with CFPCM, LUTCF, AEPP®, CFEd®, I’m constantly imparting my belief in continual professional development to my team.
Till date, we have groomed 7 CFEds, 6 ChFCs, 5 CFPs, 5 AEPPs, 4 AFC, 3 LUTCFs, 2 FChFPs, 1 CLU and 1 AFP.
On top of being a member of the prestige MDRT for 3 times, I have also mentored and groomed 7 MDRT producers and 2 Lifetime MDRTs.

When I’m not planning for the team’s development or advising my clients, I enjoy a game of badminton or bowling. Both games require you to have focus and be consistent to win the game. It is always fun to have friendly competition and challenge each other to improve our skills on the games.
Watching TV shows, especially action movies are my favourite past time to give myself a break from work. Rocky is my perennial favourite - Great fighting spirit, against all odds…really inspiring.
As a kid, Superman is one of my hero – strong, ever ready to help the weak and a great ability to fight for a good cause.
My greatest companion and partner at work has always been my life-partner, Lilian Ng. We complement each other very well with our different strengths; she is more empathetic, I am more rational. I must say I’m grateful we are such good partners, both at work and at home.
Alliance team has this unique family culture, that developed over the past 2 decades. It is probably who we hire and how we treat each other. Everyone is always so ready to support and help each other during difficult times, without any expectation of personal gain.
Leaving a legacy and creating an impact are what drive me every single day and in everything I do.
