It was a sweet story.

Both my husband and I happened to meet Hoon Lay on a weekend in March 2017 at a Bukit Batok coffee shop.

Being quite friendly, we started chatting with Hoon Lay and in our conversation, we shared with her that I was retrenched as part of my company’s restructuring exercise and I was hoping to find a new job soon.

Hoon Lay then told me Alliance Organisation was looking for a telemarketer to help with sourcing and coordination and she was happy to arrange an interview for me to meet with the hiring manager. I went for the interview and met Raymond. The interview session went on smoothly and Raymond told me to start work on 3rd April 2017.

Thereafter, I joined Alliance Organisation as a Telemarketer to date and I am very thankful to both Hoon Lay and Raymond for the connection and opportunity.

As a telemarketer, I have many opportunities to speak to people from all walks of life. The most meaningful part is engaging with the candidates, getting to know them and understand their concerns and needs. Thereafter I would arrange for them to meet with the hiring managers to understand more of being a Financial Planner with Alliance Organisation aligns with their career aspirations.

Before I joined Alliance Organisation, I did not know wealth management and financial planning were so important. I have reviewed mine, have you?

My Story

Personal side of me…Well, the most non-productive thing I like to do is…on-line shopping. The more productive interests include watching YouTube to learn about the experiences from others.

I love music - Cantonese, Hokkien, Chinese, English, Teochew and National songs. I am partial towards songs that are meaningful, encouraging, striving…or just simply a nice song for the right occasion and right time. Some of my favourite Chinese songs include The Moon Represents My Heart. I love “Beautiful Sunday”.

One of my favourite Hong Kong artistes is Sam Hui, his Cantonese songs speak to me. Favourite karaoke song is “If we hold on together”.

My heroes as a kid would be my parents and siblings. We are very close knitted; they protect me all the way - good times and hardships. Family ties and friendship are TOP priorities in my life.

I enjoy my job very much, the conversations I have with candidates can be quite humorous and entertaining. Some of my happiest moments working here in Alliance Organisation is really about the people, and the learning experience I get. I am very proud of Alliance grooming so many MDRTs (Million Dollar Round Tables) FPs. It’s always fun getting together with my colleagues, going for outings, cruises, CNY gatherings, Christmas celebrations etc. Every birthday, every award, is a happy event here.
