I enjoy meeting people and have always been in the hospitality industry since my first started work. One interview led to the next and I started my journey with Alliance as a personal assistant to Wee Cheng, who has been in this insurance industry for 30 years. I have learned a lot from her of her passion and commitment to always bringing the best to her clients.
I love many aspects of my job. The flexible timings being one of them, allowing me to cater to family commitments as well as providing service to our clients. Besides working hard, I also play hard. As an admin support staff, I get to go on incentive trips to many exotic places as a team. One trip in particular was to Batam, which was especially memorable as I got to enjoy and bond with my colleagues.
Our motto is to “Always put our client’s interest first and provide them with the best customer service” experience. It is always a pleasure when we receive good feedback from our satisfied clients bearing smiles on their faces. With this - Alliance is getting stronger and the team more united as the years pass. I am blessed to work in Alliance!
My Story
I love watching movies, and I adore Totoro, who is from a Japanese animated film called ‘My Neighbour, Totoro’. It brings me joy simply to see how Totoro fulfils other characters’ wishes in the movie.
Another movie that I love in particular is called Hachiko. The movie was based on the real story of a dog named Hachiko. After the death of his owner, Hachiko waited for his return every day in front of the Shibuya train station. Here is the statue of Hachiko which was erected by the Japanese locals in memory of his unwavering loyalty for his owner. Personally, I find this movie very touching and strongly recommend it.
Cooking and baking are also part of my interests. I bake pineapple tarts during Chinese New Year for my family and friends. As life is a never-ending process of learning, I even took up baking courses on making simple cakes and biscuits, which I greatly enjoyed. If given the opportunity, I’d like to learn even more skills! I believe it is important to continuously improve oneself in order to stay relevant and not become out of touch in our fast-paced society.
